While each child and every interaction is unique, we want to give you an idea of what to expect when you work with us.

Moving forward. Most of our engagements are short-term and always action oriented. We work in a safe, caring environment where everyone is respected and is a full partner in progress.

Intervening early is key. Addressing difficulties when they first arise allows children to develop a solid foundation upon which more complex skills and solid relationships can grow.

Nurturing families make the difference. Parents and caregivers can help shape progress through practicing skills, modifying habits, and recognizing progress.

Learning never ends. It is a 24/7 endeavor. Students spend 80% of their time outside of schools—families are very important teachers.

How we work

  • Goal oriented: we’re here to optimize a child’s development, which may require improving cognitive processes, teaching new skills, or redirecting behavior that doesn’t work for the child
  • Holistic: the best, most effective approach considers the whole child with an understanding of the child’s social, emotional, and academic development
  • Intentional support: many children simply need targeted instruction, support, and encouragement to move forward
  • Clear process: our process holds us accountable, and is focused on specific outcomes that honor the whole child
  • Collaborative partnerships: we recognize the importance of coordinating care with the family, the child, and the school staff
